Dr Sherif Hosny is a marketing academic and senior industry practitioner with over 20 years of executive experience in international tourism and destination marketing across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific.
As Group Marketing Manager at Air Arabia (2006–2013), he led multi-market tourism and destination campaigns across the UAE, Morocco and Egypt — connecting travellers across 80+ destinations spanning the Middle East, Europe, Asia and Africa.
As Director of Marketing at SalamAir, Oman (2018–2025), he built strategic tourism partnerships with destination authorities , developing integrated campaigns that grew traveller demand across 30+ international routes.
Dr Hosny holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Tourism and Marketing from Griffith University, an MBA from the University of Leicester, and a Diploma of Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), UK. He is a published researcher in destination and tourism marketing, a guest lecturer at Griffith University, and a speaker at the Aviation Festival Asia and Global Travel & Tech Summits.
He founded Cyril Marketing in 2025, bringing this international expertise directly to tourism boards, destinations, and travel companies seeking to grow their presence across Australia, the Middle East, and Africa.
